In the same thread on Reddit where some of Peloton’s 2020 product plans were leaked, u/ClipIn revealed specs and images of the upcoming PLTN-TTR01 tablet screen.
This new 22″ screen was first revealed in FCC filings earlier this year. This tablet will be used for the upcoming lower cost Peloton Tread, the rumored Peloton Rower, the eventual Peloton smart bike, and possibly, as a Generation 3 tablet monitor for the existing version of Peloton bikes.
Some of the specs for the new PLTN-TTR01 monitor include:
- 22″
- Qualcomm 1708 MHz, 8-core processor
- 4GB of RAM memory
- Android 9.0 Pie
- Miracast support for displaying on a big screen TV
- Ant+ and BLE
- 802.11AC Wireless Support
- A new NFC chip, which will allow it to support Apple Gymkit on the Apple Watch
The new Tread using this tablet is expected to be reveled the weekend of May 1st-3rd, 2020, so stay tuned for more information leading up to and around that weekend for official announcements and more.
