Peloton has unveiled a new campaign featuring Jürgen Klopp, the manager of the Liverpool Football Club, as part of their ongoing partnership with the organization. Peloton shared the news via press release, which translates roughly to:
Peloton, the world’s leading fitness company, today announces its new partnership with one of football’s most outstanding figures, Liverpool Football Club coach Jürgen Klopp. The aim of this cooperation is to bring the topic of fitness closer to a wider audience in Germany and – from mid-November – also in Austria during the upcoming Christmas season. Jürgen Klopp stars in Peloton’s latest advertising campaign, in which he demonstrates his fitness routines and the value of a varied workout using the Peloton Bike, Peloton Tread (treadmill) and the Peloton app.
As part of the campaign, Peloton has debuted a new advertisement featuring Klopp himself. The just over one-minute spot shows Klopp taking Peloton classes at home on the Bike+, Tread, and app, as well as outdoors via the app. The advertisement is in German but has English subtitles. According to Klopp: “What helps me is…options. That’s why I like the variety at Peloton so much.”
There is also a new class available for members to take as part of the campaign: a 30 minute outdoor run in German instructed by Marcel Maurer, which was released to the on-demand library on October 30 at 4:00am ET.
The class is conversational between Klopp and Marcel, with Klopp discussing his passion for fitness and his experiences with Peloton. Note that the class is currently available in Peloton’s free version of the app, likely as one of the rotating specially featured classes.
Peloton has also added a page on their site with some quotes from Klopp, which promotes him as a “football coach and Peloton member”. The page goes on to mention ways he uses different products for his own training. The campaign reveals that Jürgen Klopp’s Peloton leaderboard name (username) is Kloppo4 – although it is marked as private so it’s not possible to see how much he actually utilize’s Peloton’s classes.
Peloton first announced their multi-year partnership with Liverpool Football Club – one of the most famous soccer organizations in the world – in July of 2023. As part of the collaboration, Peloton members can expect special content like the new class with Klopp, and Peloton is also providing Bikes, Treads, and accessories at Liverpool’s AXA Training Centre.
