Peloton Adds Financing Option for Refurbished Bikes (Certified Pre-Owned); Removes Financing for the Guide

Peloton is now offering financing on their refurbished bikes (also known as certified pre-owned bikes). Peloton sent an email to customers announcing the news:

Introducing financing for Peloton Certified Refurbished Bikes and Bike+. Peloton’s most cost effective bike options just got more flexible payment options – with $0 and as low as 0% APR for 12, 24, 39, and 43 month terms.

When purchasing a refurbished bike, customers now have the option of paying with financing via Affirm. In the United States, a refurbished Bike retails for $1,145, which is $300 less than the price of a new Bike. A refurbished Bike+ retails for $1,995, which is $500 less than the cost of a new Bike+.

Peloton officially launched their Certified Refurbished program in December of 2022. Refurbished Peloton Bikes come with a standard one-year warranty, with an option to purchase an extended warranty down the line. All sales of refurbished bikes are final.

While Peloton has added financing for one of their products, they’ve removed it for another: the Peloton Guide. The device support page has been updated to state that financing is no longer available for the Guide.

In February of 2023 Peloton permanently lowered the price of the Guide in the U.S. from $295 to $195 – a $100 price reduction.

Moving forward, customers who purchase the Guide will not have the option to sign up for a payment plan and will have to pay full price for the device.
