Peloton has rolled out a pair of updates to the social Feed in the Peloton app on both iOS and Android. The Feed now supports free-text comments on friends’ workout posts, and the Feed tab has been promoted to the default view in the Community section of the app.

Up until now, when a friend’s completed workout appeared in your Feed, the only way to interact with it was by leaving a reaction. Now, you can also leave a written comment directly on the post. Tapping into a friend’s workout post will show an “Add a comment” field at the bottom of the screen, and any existing comments will appear below the workout details.
You can still leave reactions as before – the comments are in addition to the existing reaction functionality.

A few things to know about how comments work:
- You can leave a reaction on someone’s comment, but there are no threaded replies. If you want to respond to a comment, you can leave a separate comment.
- You will receive a notification when someone leaves a comment on one of your workout posts.
- You have the ability to delete comments that others have left on your own workouts.
Peloton previously supported comments within the Teams section of the app. However, the more general friends Feed – where you see individual workout completions from people you follow – did not support comments until this update.

In addition to the comments feature, Peloton has rearranged the Community section of the app. Previously, “Teams” was the default tab when you navigated to the Community area, with “Feed” as the second tab. Now, those have been swapped – Feed is the default tab, and Teams has moved to the second position.
Peloton is notifying members about these changes with an app alert, stating:
“Feed is now home for your latest social updates. Celebrate friends when they earn Peloton badges, cheer them on with comments and reactions, and discover instructor tips from official teams.”
Peloton is also surfacing select posts from official Peloton teams directly in the Feed. Some posts from official teams (such as the “Move for Life” team), their posts will now appear interspersed between your friends’ workout posts in the Feed. These posts seem to be appearing whether or not you have actually joined those official teams.

The Peloton social Feed first rolled out in 2023, and Peloton has been gradually expanding its functionality since then.

With this update it seems I can’t see my friends workouts no more 🙁
The updated Peloton Feed is horrible. The only friends workouts I can see are workouts they have done with their friends. It mostly show 5 or 10 minute cool down rides, stretches and mediations. Absolute rubbish.
