Peloton Hosting “Race Week Victory Lap” 5K & Yoga in Melbourne For 2026 F1 Australian Grand Prix

Peloton is heading to Melbourne, Australia for a free in-person event called the “Race Week Victory Lap” – held in partnership with the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls (VCARB) Formula 1 team ahead of the 2026 Australian Grand Prix.

The event takes place on Wednesday, March 4 at the Riviera Beach Club in St. Kilda, and features a yoga flow, an outdoor 5K run, and a recovery lounge – all led by Peloton instructors.

This builds on the Peloton x Formula 1 partnership that was first announced in November 2025 ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Since then, Peloton instructors have also led a 5K run on the Circuit of the Americas track in Austin, Texas during that F1 race weekend.

The Melbourne event expands the partnership internationally and brings it to the doorstep of Australian Peloton members for the first time.

You can find the full details and register on the Peloton x Melbourne Victory Lap event page. Registration is free but required, and spots are limited.

Four Peloton instructors will be involved in the event. Kirra Michel will lead the yoga flow, while Jon Hosking, Erik Jager, and guest instructor Tim Robards will co-lead the 5K run.

This is Tim Robards’ first appearance at a Peloton event in Australia. When Peloton initially announced Tim as a guest instructor, they noted his addition was part of a push to support Australian members, and mentioned he may take part in some events in Australia.

The event runs from 6:45am to 9:30am AEST on Wednesday, March 4. Doors close at 7:10am, and late arrivals may not be able to join the yoga session. Here is the full schedule:

  • 6:45am – 7:15am: Paddock Opens – Check-in and bag drop
  • 7:15am – 7:30am: 15 min “Formation Lap” Yoga Flow with Kirra Michel (yoga mats provided)
  • 7:30am – 8:15am: 5K Outdoor Run with Jon Hosking, Tim Robards & Erik Jäger
  • 8:15am – 9:30am: “Parc Fermé” Recovery Lounge

The yoga session is optional but encouraged – and participants who join it will receive a branded Peloton workout mat to take home.

The 5K run takes to the streets of St. Kilda and is open to all levels, with four pace groups using F1-themed names:

  • Safety Lap – Walk + Run
  • Race Pace – 7:30 min/km
  • Quali Pace – 6:30 min/km
  • Pole Position – 5:30 min/km

The run is in partnership with EveryRun Club, a Melbourne-based community running group.

After the run, the Recovery Lounge will feature a chance to try Peloton’s Cross Training Series equipment with Peloton IQ, a recovery zone powered by Hyperice, complimentary drinks and snacks, Red Bull, and a live DJ.

Peloton is tying the event to a charitable donation as well. For every 5-minute class completed on the Cross Training equipment at the Recovery Lounge, Peloton will donate $10 to Beyond Blue – an Australian charity providing free 24/7 mental health support. The total donation is capped at $1,000.

Peloton is also doing a giveaway for a chance to win a Cross Training Bike+. Entry is open to Australian residents 18 or older, and the draw runs through April 19, 2026. The winner will be selected on April 28. A Peloton All-Access Membership ($65/month AUD) is not included with the prize. Full rules are available at onepeloton.com.au/competition.

The event takes place two days before Formula 1 practice sessions begin at the Australian Grand Prix on Friday, March 6 at Albert Park. The VCARB team heads into the 2026 season with drivers Liam Lawson and rookie Arvid Lindblad. The event FAQ notes that driver appearances at the Peloton event cannot be guaranteed.

This is the latest of a number of in-person Peloton events at festivals and beyond. In recent weeks alone, Peloton has had instructors at the Innings Festival in Tempe, Arizona, The Cookout festival, and will be at the Montreux Jazz Festival Miami later this month.
