Peloton may be laying the groundwork for its next generation of instructors with a new job posting for a Casting Manager, a full-time role based in New York.
The position, listed under the Studio & Content Production department, focuses heavily on sourcing, auditioning, and onboarding new instructors to Peloton who will represent the brand across classes, programs, and digital experiences. In other words – this new role will be responsible for hiring new Peloton instructors.
The high-level job description reads:
We are looking for an experienced Casting Manager to oversee the recruitment and casting of Peloton Instructors who will represent our brand in various programs and experiences. This role involves identifying, auditioning, and managing talented fitness professionals who align with our brand’s vision, values, and goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in casting or recruiting fitness professionals, a strong understanding of fitness trends, and a passion for building a diverse and engaging team of instructors.
The job listing goes on to outline a wide range of responsibilities, including managing the full casting process for fitness instructors, identifying emerging talent, and ensuring that those selected align with Peloton’s tone, values, and community standards. The role also includes casting a new Wellness Board of Experts – an advisory group that will support program development and lend medical and scientific credibility to Peloton’s offerings. This new board comes as Peloton is beginning to offer nutrition content as well as longevity classes. This Peloton Wellness Board of Experts appear to be separate from the Health & Wellness advisory council Peloton first started in 2020.
It is unclear from the posting whether this position is a backfill or an expansion of the department – but the casting department is not new for Peloton. However, the language used throughout the job description – focused entirely on sourcing and recruiting new talent – strongly suggests that Peloton could be preparing to expand its instructor team.

It has been a number of years since Peloton has hired any new full-time instructors. While Christian Vande Velde rejoined as a guest instructor last year, and Dre Meyes was a guest instructor for Kettlebells – these were not full-time instructors.
All the recent Peloton instructor news has been about departures. German instructor Irene Kaymer left the company (for a second time) at the beginning of 2025. In 2024, Kendall Toole, Ross Rayburn, and Kristin McGee left the company following contract negotiations, and Tobias Heinze left for unrelated reasons over the summer as well. At that time, Peloton shared that all remaining instructors had signed new contracts, and teased the possibility of bringing on new instructors to the company. However, there have not been any recent hints that new instructors may be on the way since then.
The new Peloton Casting Manager will be expected to stay on top of fitness trends, identify key industry events where Peloton should have a presence, and contribute to long-term planning around the instructor team. They will also be tasked with maintaining a diverse and inclusive talent pool, and ensuring that instructors represent the global nature of Peloton’s member community.
The role carries with a base salary range of $123,600 to $166,860, along with a full suite of benefits that includes equity awards, paid parental leave, wellness support, and discounts on Peloton products.
While Peloton has remained quiet on any imminent instructor hires, this job listing for a dedicated casting manager may be a strong sign that new instructors could debut in the future – although it is a many-month process between interviews and a new instructor being officially announced.
