Peloton's April Workouts to Watch email detailing new Power Zone program.

New Live Power Zone Program, Strength for Cyclists Program, More Coming to Peloton in April 2025

Peloton is welcoming spring with a fresh slate of new training options, as outlined in their April “Workouts to Watch” email recently sent to members.

Peloton teased a mix of endurance-boosting programs, focused strength training, and skill-building classes, all designed to offer members new ways to move.

One of the most significant updates is the upcoming debut of Peloton’s newest Power Zone training program, Boost Your Base: Power Zones. We initially shared that this program was on the way earlier this week; however, what is particularly notable is that this program will include live classes. According to the email:

“Get ready to ride with Boost Your Base: Power Zones, starting Monday, April 21. Our first live Power Zone program is designed to be taken as a team over 8 challenging weeks, with on demand rides every Monday and Wednesday, and live classes every Saturday.”

This indicates the classes within the program will be released to the on-demand library on Mondays and Wednesdays over the course of the eight weeks, with live classes taking place each week as part of the program on Saturdays. This marks a major evolution for classes within Peloton’s official training programs, which have historically been pre-recorded and released straight to the on-demand library all at once.

While the latest email revealed that the program will be eight weeks in length and launch on April 21, it is still unclear which members of the Power Zone coaching team will be teaching the classes, and which class durations the program will offer. However, Matt Wilpers historically has taught the Saturday morning power zone time slot – so he likely will be featured heavily during the program. We will share updates as they become available.

Next, Peloton will launch a Strength for Cyclists program with Ben Alldis on April 25. The program will be one week in length and will focus on muscle groups typically utilized heavily by cyclists. According to the email:

Build the strength and mobility you need to take your cycling to the next level in this 1-week program with Ben. Whether you’re cycling on the road, the mountain, or your Peloton Bike, this program will help boost your performance. Available on April 25.

This is a continuation of Peloton’s efforts to expand their cross-training content. Just last month Peloton hinted at a Strength for Basketball program in the future. The Strength for Sports series offers specialized strength programs for sports like running, skiing, and golf; and Peloton is now expanding to cycling with this latest program.

In addition to these upcoming new programs, the April Workouts to Watch email highlighted other content across the Peloton platform, including:

April is shaping up to be a high-energy month for Peloton members, whether training for a 5K, boosting your cycling power, or refining yoga skills.

Which of these new classes are you most looking forward to?
