Peloton Instructor Alex Karwoski Recovering from Injury (Broken Bones in Hand)

Peloton instructor Alex Karwoski will be taking a short break from teaching Peloton classes while he recovers from a bike accident that resulted in numerous broken bones.

He took to Instagram to highlight some of his favorite classes from 2023 and provide insight – a picture of his hand in a cast – into his absence from the schedule so far in 2024:

A number of Alex’s classes have been canceled over the past week or so, causing members to speculate about his whereabouts. Alex also passed a message along via his Katch Krew member group today thanking those who had expressed concern (re-shared here with permission). He revealed that he is recovering from an injury; specifically, he was in a biking accident and broke numerous bones in his hand.

According to the message Alex is doing well but is recovering at home – and will understandably be off the live Peloton schedule while he heals. He is eager to return to teaching classes as soon as he is able, and appreciates all of the care and concern displayed by members.

Several Peloton instructors are absent from the live schedule while they recover from injuries and medical issues. Jenn Sherman recently shared that she will not be on the bike due to a medical issue, and Marcel Dinkins has also been off the live schedule since August after having surgery. Kirra Michel and Anna Greenberg are operating on modified schedules – teaching mostly restorative and meditation content – while they both recover from injuries. Kirra is slated to return to her full schedule on January 11.
