Back in March, Peloton Tread instructor Becs Gentry took part in the UK Olympic Marathon Time Trials, trying to qualify for the marathon race for the Tokyo 2020/2021 Olympics. Then, at Peloton Homecoming, Becs teased that they would be releasing a docu-series about her training and experience around the race.
This week, Peloton has begun releasing the videos. It will be a 4-party video series titled “The Roadmap: Becs’ Journey”. Over the course of the series, Peloton will examine Becs training for the Olympics, her travel, her experience over in the England, and more.
You can find the videos here, or embedded below:
Becs teased the series on Instagram, sharing:
It was one of the wildest, toughest and most important periods of my runner life and my @onepeloton team decided to document the journey.
I won’t lie, when this was suggested to me I was unsettled. I am not someone who functions well under pressure and knowing that what had been a very private process was going to be made very public, was a lot to take in. But as ever, the support and strength shared with me from the Peloton community made me quickly realise this was a time of my life I had earned the right to share.
Thank you to EVERYONE involved in this project, it was a blast. I hope I did you all proud because I know I did myself so proud.
The first video was released today – and it sounds like they will be released every week on Wednesdays @ 6:00pm ET on Peloton’s YouTube channel.
This is the second docuseries that Peloton has produced. Peloton also created a 3 part series for Robin Arzon titled “Strong as a Mother”, looking at her journey through pregnancy and her fitness insights.
