No Live Classes from Peloton Studios New York from August 19 – September 4; Summer Closure Extended

Peloton has extended their summer closure for Peloton Studios New York (PSNY), and the studios will now be closed from August 19 until September 4. Combined with the London studio closure, this means there will be no live Peloton classes at all from either studio August 28 – September 4.

UpdatePeloton shortened the length of the PSL closure, meaning there will only be no live classes at all from August 28-30 and September 4.

Update 2Classes from the yoga & strength studio will begin again August 24th, but the cycling & Tread studio will remain closed through September 4th.

Peloton recently updated the studio booking site with the following message:

“Peloton Studios New York will be closed for regular maintenance from 8/19 – 9/4. There will be no live classes during this period but check out our on-demand library.”

This is nine days more than what was originally announced earlier this year. We previously shared the running list of studio closures for all of 2024. Originally, Peloton had only listed August 26 – September 2 as the summer studio closure dates. Now, PSNY will be closed from August 19-September 4, with no live classes taking place from New York during that time.

Note that there will still be some live classes from Peloton Studios London (PSL) during part of this time, as PSL is only listed as being closed from August 28 – September 4.

However, there are no longer live classes from London on Thursdays – and September 5 is a Thursday – so live classes from PSL will likely resume on Friday, September 6.

In other words: there will be no live classes from PSNY from August 19-September 4. There will be a handful of classes from London between August 19-27; and no live classes at all from either studio between August 28 – September 4.

As we have noted previously, Peloton’s studio closure dates are always subject to change.

It is worth noting that Peloton only posted this studio closure update in recent days even though classes for this time period were supposed to be released to the studio booking site two weeks ago, as well as last week. This caused members to speculate about the reason for the delay in classes being added, with some wondering whether it could be Peloton’s All for One Music Festival, which has historically taken place around this time.

This appears not to be the case; the studio is simply closed for an extended period of time – PSL for nine days, and PSNY for 17 days – one of their longest studio closures to date.

As always, members can expect new content to be released to the on-demand library during this time as well as many classes added to the encore schedule.
