Peloton has made yet another update to their summer studio closure plans. Though there will be no live classes from Peloton Studios New York (PSNY) this coming week, Peloton will partially reopen the yoga and strength studios next week – more than a week earlier than anticipated.
To recap: we previously shared that PSNY had extended their summer studio closure to last a total of 17 days from August 19 through September 4. The studio website shared a message of “Peloton Studios New York will be closed for regular maintenance from 8/19 – 9/4. There will be no live classes during this period but check out our on-demand library.”
Shortly thereafter, Peloton changed the closure dates for Peloton Studios London (PSL) to significantly shorten the amount of time with no live classes at all.
However, new developments suggest some classes at PSNY will resume sooner than anticipated. While the Tread and cycling studios still appear to be closed from August 19 through September 2, Peloton has quietly added classes that are filmed from the strength and yoga studios to the upcoming schedule beginning on August 24.

Though not a full schedule, there are currently strength, rowing, cardio and yoga classes – from the New York instructors – on the live schedule from August 24 through September 4th. There are not expected to be members in the studio for these over the weekend, as the studio is still officially closed – they will be coach to camera with no studio audience.
As a reminder, on Friday, August 30th, while Peloton Studios New York will have classes from the yoga & strength studio, there will be no live classes from London, as this is the extra day London is closed for summer maintenance.
PSNY is then expected to be closed again on Monday, September 2nd for the Labor Day holiday – while classes are still broadcast from London. On Tuesday, September 3rd, both PSNY & PSL should have live classes. It now appears that Peloton New York will be back to a full regular schedule that Tuesday – with this being their first cycling & running classes since the closure.
Then on Wednesday, September 4th, there will be no live classes at all – as Peloton is no longer having live classes on Wednesdays.
Then, on Thursday, September 5th, Peloton will be back to their regular broadcast schedule until the next closure.
As a reminder, you can view the complete running list of studio closures for all of 2024 via our site; but as repeatedly demonstrated over these past few weeks, these dates are subject to change.
