My grandma wore combat boots. My grandma was in the Army. She served as a secretary in the Philippines. She was a single mother. She was a widow. She rode a motorcycle. She was a badass who smoked Salems and drank port everyday. She drank Manhattans on Tuesdays after work at the town library. She gave me military letterhead to draw on while she did the crossword puzzle at sunset. Mary Elizabeth Witham, thank you for your service, not only for your country, but as a trailblazer for women. I am honored to be your descendant. I am proud that what you are is in me. As a thank you to all of the Veterans for all you have done and to celebrate your service, please join me for a very special ride on Wednesday Nov 11, Veterans Day at 7:30 am EST. This 30 min Power Zone class will feature music from the United States Air Force bands along with some other fierce tunes you know very well. Over the past 6 years that I have been with Peloton, I have had the great pleasure of meeting some of you.
