Peloton is launching a new feature called ReRuns that lets members recreate the elevation profile of an outdoor run, walk, or hike on their Peloton Tread.
ReRuns launches October 1, 2026 and will be available across Peloton Tread models, including older hardware.

Members who record an outdoor workout through the Peloton app or sync one through a supported connected service can bring that route into Peloton.
Peloton said route and elevation information will automatically flow in from:
- Peloton outdoor workouts
- Garmin
- Apple Health
- WHOOP

An icon is shown on the top left of each imported route to show what type of device it came from. Members can bookmark their favorite routes as well. There is an option to filter the library of runs, to help hunt down a specific previous route someone may be looking for.
Once the member selects a route on their Tread, the auto-incline feature will change incline to reproduce the route’s elevation profile as you run.
At launch, there is not a way to manually upload route courses through GPX or other standalone files. It can only be done through workouts coming through Peloton and its supported third-party integrations, or courses Peloton has added to the “Discover” section.
The ReRuns interface gives members several ways to follow their progress through the route.
An elevation graph appears in the upper-left portion of the screen, showing the profile of the course and what climbs or descents are coming. A separate progress tracker on the right side shows how far through the overall route the member has traveled. The normal workout distance metric remains visible in the bottom-right portion of the screen as well.

As members run, the main part of the screen shows them following the route on a map.
There is no instructor overlay or teaching for a ReRun session – so members can pick a Peloton Radio station for a playlist during the workout.
Peloton demonstrated the feature using one of Susie Chan’s favorite routes, with the Tread automatically increasing to a 4% incline as the route reached that section.
Members are not limited to routes they have personally completed. A Discover section offers featured routes selected by Peloton. Members can browse those routes and bookmark favorites for later.

Peloton said featured options will include routes from instructors and run clubs. The company is also working with the New York City Marathon to bring the full marathon course and its elevation profile to ReRuns.
Once that route is loaded, someone preparing for New York could use their Peloton Tread to experience the sequence of climbs and descents on the actual course before race day rather than approximating them with a generic hill workout. Peloton has previously done a version of this with a scenic run of the full NYC marathon course that included auto-incline, but ReRuns will allow Peloton to bring the race simulation experience to many other races (just without the video to go with it).
ReRuns also makes Peloton’s recent third-party workout integrations more useful. Garmin workout imports arrived alongside Peloton IQ last year, followed by two-way Garmin syncing earlier this year.
Now, members can use those imported Garmin runs through ReRuns to take them again on the Peloton Tread.
WHOOP joins that ecosystem with the new integration announced alongside the ReRun feature, and Peloton confirmed it can also supply route information for ReRuns.
The ReRuns feature will be coming to all Peloton Tread models. It does not require a model with the newer movement-tracking cameras, and is not exclusive to the most recently announced generation of Treadmills (the foldable Peloton Tread Flex, the Tread Vision, or Tread+ Vision).
The ReRuns feature officially launches October 1.
ReRuns is launching alongside several other new running related features, including run analysis, Sled Mode for Tread+, Peloton IQ Pace targets, and heart rate zone workouts.
