Outage at Peloton impacting ability to take on-demand classes

There is currently an outage impacting Peloton – and there is no estimate for when it will be back up at this time.

Update 2 – Peloton posted a second update at ~5:30pm ET, saying the issue was fixed (again) – nearly 4 hours after the outage started.

Update – Peloton posted an update at 4:10pm ET, saying the issue was fixed after 2.5 hours. However, shortly afterwards they posted that they were still seeing issues so were continuing to investigate -so the issue is not fully resolved yet.

Around 4:45pm (nearly 3 hours into the issue), Peloton shared the following statement on social media: “We are aware of an ongoing issue preventing some Members from taking a workout and are working diligently to get it resolved. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible Member experience, so we apologize for this inconvenience. Thank you for your patience as we work to get you back on the Leaderboard.”

This is impacting the ability to take on-demand classes.

Live classes should still be working as expected, along with audio-only classes or “Just Workout”.

This outage started around 1:45pm ET.

Peloton is sharing updates on their outage site.

The updates are being posted under the banner “Class Failing to Load for Some Members across Peloton surfaces”

The first major update was posted 2:00pm ET, where they shared that they “identified is is an issue with our on-demand classes and is working on a fix.”

Around 3:30pm, nearly 2 hours into the outage, they shared that they were “continuing to work on a fix for this issue”. No estimated timeline was given for when Peloton would be back up.

This issue only appears to be affecting regular on-demand classes. Live classes still work, as well as audio-only classes.

This is a developing story and we have been updating it with the latest information as it becomes available.
