Peloton has new "Set The Pace" classes, which are the NYRR podcast cohosted by Becs Gentry.

Peloton Adds New York Road Runners (NYRR) “Set the Pace” Podcast to Outdoor Classes

Peloton has added the New York Road Runners (NYRR) “Set the Pace” podcast, which is co-hosted by instructor Becs Gentry, to the Peloton platform. Members can now listen to the podcast on their digital app or via the Tread, and have it count as an outdoor workout.

Peloton shared the news via the @PelotonStudios Instagram Stories, writing:

Lace up and run along to NYRR’s Set the Pace podcast, co-hosted by our own Becs Gentry. Whether outdoors or on the Tread, BEcs will cue your run as you listed to life-changing stories and running insights.

10 episodes are now available in the on-demand library, each having aired previously but now available on the Peloton platform for the first time. Each class is 45 minutes in length, and each class description is specific to that particular episode.

One of the episodes even features instructor Mariana Fernández, who conducts a live meditation during the interview.

These classes have all been placed into a dedicated Set the Pace Collection as well as living in the larger on-demand library. New classes will be added as they are released, and the official collection description reads:

NYRR Set the Pace Presented by Peloton is the official podcast of New York Road Runners. Walk or run along as hosts Rob Simmelkjaer, CEO of NYRR, and Peloton’s very own Becs Gentry, talk with inspiring athletes and people in the running world.

Becs was announced as a permanent co-host of the NYRR Set the Pace podcast this past May. In addition, Peloton was then listed as the “presenting sponsor” of the podcast. Becs revealed during a recent episode that she will be commentating at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France.

Peloton and NYRR have an ongoing multi-year partnership, which they announced in 2023. The collaboration includes event partnerships, as well as outdoor audio-only and scenic classes – which were released after much anticipation in April of 2024 – and the podcast.

This past April Peloton added outdoor content to the Tread, allowing members to enjoy outdoor classes via their hardware device for the first time. Prior to this change, Peloton outdoor classes were only available to take on the digital app.

You can access the new NYRR Set the Pace Peloton outdoor classes via your digital app or Tread/Tread+; and check out the dedication collection for easy accessibility.
