Peloton has lowered the price of the Peloton Guide to $95.
This is not a limited time sale or discount, but rather, the new “permanent” price of the Guide.
You can see the new price reflected on Peloton’s site here (affiliate link). This is a price drop of more than 50% – or $100 lower than the previous price of $195.

This change is worldwide in all markets – the Guide has been reduced by similar prices in local currencies everywhere it is available.
The price change today is the second time that Peloton has decreased the cost of the Peloton Guide. It first launched in April 2022 for a price of $295. Then, in February 2023, the Peloton Guide price was dropped to $195.
Since then, we have seen the Peloton Guide periodically put on limited time sales, by both Amazon and Peloton, for a price of $95 (in fact, that was one of the Amazon Prime sales from the last two days).
We shared a few weeks ago that Peloton had written off $9.1 million of Guide inventory. In all likelihood, Peloton has probably been planning this price drop since then. This means the drop in price has already been factored into Peloton’s quarterly estimates as of last quarter – and won’t impact the upcoming quarter results or forecasts.
That writedown, and this new lower price, are most likely the result of two factors. One would be Peloton making too many when they first launched it. The second would be sales just not being as strong as they thought – so the company is hoping that permanently lowering the price will drive more people to buy the Guide (and then earning Peloton more money from increased monthly subscriptions).
Even if sales aren’t as strong as the company may have hoped, Peloton has continued to add new features and roll out enhancements to the Guide. Just last month, Peloton began beta testing form feedback on the Peloton Guide.
The Peloton Guide has a separate “Guide” membership, which costs $24/month. If you already own another piece of hardware (the Bike, Tread, or Row), you can use the Guide on that same membership for no extra cost. If you are currently an app user – you would need to change to the Guide membership to use it. This would be a cost increase for App One users (which costs $13/month).
However, for App+ users – the Guide membership is the same price as App+ ($24/month). The Guide membership allows you to have 5 people on the same membership – so if other people in your household use Peloton, and have separate app memberships – you can actually save money in the long run by using the Guide membership.
