Mariana's 45 minute Walk + Run with Carl Radke featuring pace targets from October 30, 2025

Peloton’s Walk + Run Classes now being taught with pace targets

Peloton’s pace targets, which individualize a Tread class’s speeds to a member’s zones of perceived effort rather than a fixed speed range, have now been rolled out to Walk + Run classes.

Pace targets first became available on the Tread with Run classes last June, and more recently with Walks a few weeks later.

The expansion of pace targets to Walk + Run classes comes as Peloton reclassified all “Walk + Run” classes earlier this week to be counted as Runs, rather than Walks as they were previously.

The Walk + Run pace target classes use your regular 7 running pace targets as well as your run pace target difficulty setting. The regular walking pace target classes just have 5 pace target levels – but those are not used in Walk + Runs. To stay consistent with being considered runs – the walk + run classes use those same targets as regular runs.

Mariana Fernández taught the first Walk + Run class featuring pace targets on October 30. This 45 minute class also featured Bravo TV’s Carl Radke as a special guest. It was also intended to be a shakeout run prior to the 2025 TCS NYC Marathon taking place on November 2.
