Peloton is teasing “a new era of fitness” that begins on October 1st.

The company took to social media today with a new video making the tease.
In the tease, several Peloton products are shown: including a Peloton Row, Peloton Tread+, and one of the Peloton bikes. There is then an unknown person shown (it’s not clear whether it’s an actor from a commercial, or an unannounced instructor) following by the date “October 1st”.
The caption for the post simply says: “A new era of fitness. Coming October 1.”
While Peloton was vague on what this means, previous hints indicate it could be Peloton’s product roadmap coming to light. In Peloton’s latest earnings call, CEO Peter Stern noted that he would reveal a new product roadmap for Peloton before the holiday season – specifically mentioning “hardware innovation”.
Following that, Bloomberg reported last month that Peloton was planning a product refresh, possibly as soon as October. Their report indicated that Peloton devices could be getting new screens/tablets, and the original Peloton Bike could be getting a rotating screen similar to the Bike+. They also reported that all devices could be getting “Peloton Intelligence” – seeing AI integrated across the product line. New accessories are expected as well. Bloomberg reconfirmed their reporting with a new video they released earlier this week.
Peloton has also been making new partnership & content announcements recently. Yesterday, they announced Hyrox branded classes had begun. The video tease does include an unknown person (actor? new instructor?) – so the video could be hinting at content or instructor-based announcement – although the person could simply be an actor from a longer version for the commercial of whatever is being teased.
The Peloton instructor team has been engaging with the video on various channels.
Matt Wilpers reposted the video with the comment of “About to Level Up (again).”
Various other comments from instructors were along the lines of “Here it comes” and “We’re Ready” or simply 👀👀.
Since the video teased the date of October 1st, it’s likely more details should be revealed soon.
