Peloton is reportedly planning new product launches, possibly as soon as October, as well as as integrated AI Platform, currently being called “Peloton Intelligence.”
According to the new report from Bloomberg – the original Peloton Bike will be upgraded to include a rotating screen, like the newer Bike+ has. While third party accessories have been available for years to support this on the original bike, having it built in will allow people to more easily take strength and other off-bike content.
The report also indicates that the Peloton Tread+ might be updated with a newer, but smaller screen. The Tread+ currently has a 32 inch screen, while the Tread has a 24 inch screen – like the Bike+ & Row. They report that it might also include “different mounting structure for attaching the monitor to the device”
The report does not get into specifics about the updated tablet/screen, other than size. We previously shared that Peloton has filed new patents around an updated screen that includes the Guide software & technology built into it – it is not known at this time whether the updates seen in this patent would be included or not. The report also does not specify whether updated screens would have 4K monitors or not – as the PSNY studio just completed renovations to install 4K cameras.

Bloomberg also reports that this fall will see a “Row+” device – but notes that this could just see the current Rower get a rebrand, rather than a new product launch. This wouldn’t be unprecedented – as the device we now call the Tread+ was originally just known as the “Tread” – before the newer, smaller Tread was released.
The report also mentions that there might be price adjustments for product as part of these refreshes. We recently covered how CEO Peter Stern explicitly has said price adjustments are on the way.
In addition to the new hardware, Peloton is working on integrating AI into all of their products – which is currently being called “Peloton Intelligence” internally. Peloton has already been dabbling in AI with their personal workout plans, and executives have repeatedly talked about their focus on AI.
According to the report, the goal of Peloton Intelligence is “making workouts more personalized to each user and to push consumers to adopt upgraded hardware and subscriptions that support the additional functionality.”
A future upgrade may be “tapping into data collected from third-party devices and platforms in order to make suggestions for what type of workouts a user should do on its own equipment.” We have previously shared that Peloton is working on a Garmin Connect integration.
Peloton is also planning to expand the variety of branded accessories they sell. The company is exploring launching branded air fans, smartphone holders, and bike seats.
Finally, Peloton will begin offering self assembly for Tread & Row. The downside of this for members is this means that Peloton will start charging fees for professional assembly – a service that was previously free. This was discussed in the last earnings call. This comes as Peloton updates pricing to “reflect their true costs.”
