Peloton is once again expanding their monthly challenges. This month will see the launch of the first “Elevation Challenge”, giving Peloton members another chance to earn a badge.
The goal of the Peloton Elevation Challenge is to see how many feet you can climb on the Peloton Tread (or via the app outdoors). The official challenge description for the first installment of this – the “May Elevation Challenge” reads:
Set your sights on the summit with our new monthly Elevation Challenge. Earn a badge when you climb 500 feet or more across your hikes, walks, runs and Tread Bootcamps for the month. This challenge tracks both class workouts and Just Workout – on the Tread or the App.

As with other monthly challenges, there are badges for hitting certain milestones in the challenge. The badges, and levels needed, for the Peloton Elevation challenge are:
- Gold – 2,000 feet
- Silver – 1,000 feet
- Bronze – 500 feet
The description notes that this counts both classes, as well as “Just Workout” – and will track both on the Peloton Tread/Tread+ as well as ones taken via the app. It also should count the Tread portion of hiking, walking, and running bootcamps.
This is the first regular monthly challenge added since monthly yoga challenges were added last May.
You can find this challenge in the “Challenges” section of your app or hardware device, or join on the web here.
Will you be trying to add some elevation to your workouts to complete this challenge?
