Peloton Hires Mike Wilson as New General Manager of Canada

Peloton has hired a new General Manager to run their operations in Canada: Mike Wilson. Peloton shared the news via press release:

Peloton today announced the appointment of Mike Wilson to the position of General Manager of Canada. Wilson will lead the development and execution of Peloton’s strategy in Canada, including operations, sales and piloting new go-to-market growth strategies in the market. He brings more than 20 years of sales, brand management, integrated marketing and digital experience to Peloton.

Wilson joins Peloton after years with Waze, joining as their first Canadian employee and serving as the Canadian Country Manager. He also worked for Google and Microsoft. Wilson shared his excitement about joining the Peloton team with the below quote:

“Peloton has become part of the cultural conversation in Canada’s key urban hubs across the country. It is an incredible foundation to build on, as there is quite a bit of untapped potential to explore. The Peloton platform offers a fitness experience for all ages, levels, and walks of life, and I’m excited about the opportunity to increase awareness of the brand and continue to grow our membership base through a variety of new avenues.”

Just last month the Row – Peloton’s newest hardware device – became available for sale in Canada.

Wilson is the second new General Manager to be announced in one of Peloton’s operating countries within the past month. In October we shared that Kathryn Carter would take over as the new General Manager for Australia.

Though 2023 has been a relatively year for Peloton personnel changes compared to 2022, there have still been some significant changes throughout the year. In September we shared that Peloton hired a new Chief Product Officer (CPO) and the remaining Peloton co-founder stepped down. In addition, Cédric Fletcher was brought on as the new Senior Vice President of Apparel and Accessories.
