Peloton Hires Kathryn Carter as New General Manager of Australia

Peloton has hired a new General Manager to run their operations in Australia: Kathryn Carter. Peloton shared the news via press release:

Kathryn will be responsible for driving growth and leading Peloton’s operations in Australia, overseeing multiple functions including Retail, Operations, Marketing and Communications, as well as business partnerships. Having previously held roles at SNAP Inc and News Corp., Kathryn has a deep understanding of the Australian market and has built a reputation for delivering commercial results across new and established markets, and scaling global brands regionally.

Carter replaces the former Australia General Manager Amanda Gilmore, who is staying with the company and will oversee Peloton’s United Kingdom business and market expansion strategy.

Carter has spent the past seven years working for Snapchat; prior to this she also worked for News Corp and a number of other media companies. She shared her excitement about joining the Peloton team with the below quote:

“Fitness is ingrained in Australia’s cultural DNA, and as a leader in technology, content, and community, Peloton is uniquely positioned to enhance the way Australians move and stay motivated. I am excited to join Peloton at such a pivotal time and build on the incredible momentum and excitement for the brand in this country.”

Peloton first launched in Australia in July of 2021. At first only the Bike was available, but the Tread was brought to market in the country earlier this year.

Though 2023 has been a much quieter year for Peloton personnel changes compared to 2022, there have still been some significant changes throughout the year. Just last month we shared that Peloton hired a new Chief Product Officer (CPO) and the remaining Peloton co-founder stepped down. In addition, Cédric Fletcher was brought on as the new Senior Vice President of Apparel and Accessories.
