Peloton instructor Matty Maggiacomo and his husband Evan are expecting a baby girl in December.
Matty announced the news on Instagram with a video captioned simply:
“one thing led to another”
The video plays the announcement as a recipe, with Matty and Evan working from a cookbook and adding ingredients including sugar, Sour Patch Kids, glitter, and PEZ to a boiling pot.
They also add a copy of “The Poky Little Puppy,” a Cher doll, and a pair of pink baby shoes.
Evan then asks how long to put it in for, with Matty replying: “About 9 months.”
They put the pot into the oven before the video ends with the words “Baby Maggiacomo.”
Matty shared more about the news during his Peloton class on Friday, confirming that they are expecting a baby girl with a December due date.
He also talked about the journey to get to this point, sharing that it has been a long and expensive process and that he and Evan have been quietly working toward having a baby for years.
Matty said he plans to begin paternity leave in December.
Before then, his signature Walk & Talk series will be returning with eight new classes. The first new Walk & Talk is supposed to be Friday, October 2, according to Matty.
Matty announced in July that Walk & Talk would be taking a temporary hiatus, with a special class in August, another back-to-school edition, and then a full relaunch in October. At the time, Matty said the break would give him and his producers time to regroup and work on the series before bringing it back for the final part of the year.
The baby news comes less than a year after Matty and Evan were married in Central Park on October 25, 2025.
The couple had previously announced their engagement in September 2023, after Evan proposed to Matty at the Metropolitan Museum of Art surrounded by friends and family.
