Matt Wilpers teases more 120 minute / 2 hour Peloton rides on the way (4 per year)

Those who took Matt Wilpers’ 120 minute Power Zone Endurance Ride – the first 2 hour ride to be offered on the Peloton platform in many years – from October 28 will be pleased to hear that Peloton will likely offer more rides of this length in the future.

Update – The next Peloton 2 hour ride will take place on Feb 3, 2024

The class took place on Matt’s birthday and had more than 6,000 live riders – which is quite popular for a Saturday morning at 8:00am ET.

In his most recent Power Zone Endurance Ride on November 11, Matt discussed the 2 hour ride and said that more are on the way. He stated that they will aim for one per quarter – or four per year – although he joked that his bosses wanted one per month. Matt stated:

“I want to give a big thanks to everyone that has ridden or rode that 120 minute ride we did the other day. You surprised my bosses. They were like, ‘we were not expecting that. That was insane.’ I literally got a text after that class from my boss, she goes: ‘Matt, every month?’ And I’m like, pump the breaks, pump the breaks, pump the breaks. That was 2 hours. So I think we’re going to try to do that once a quarter.”

In other words, members can likely expect one 2 hour cycling class per quarter; totaling approximately four per year. You can watch the full clip from the class via YouTube.

Matt’s 120 minute Power Zone Endurance Ride was initially announced in September, and was the first 2 hour ride from Peloton in recent memory.

Did you take Matt’s 2 hour ride from October 28, and are you excited to hear that more are in the works for the future?
