Peloton Making a Limited Time Offer for a Peloton Protection Plan (Warranty) to Certain Members

Peloton is running a limited time offer for members who purchased their Bike or Bike+ between May of 2020 and June of 2021 to add a Peloton Protection Plan for 24 months. According to a new FAQ page, the offer is available through September 30, 2022 to members contacted by Peloton via email.

These date specifications indicate that the offer is being made to members who would not normally be eligible for a Peloton Protection Plan, since those plans must be purchased within the first year of owning the device.

The price of the limited time offer plan is $149 for the original Bike and $199 for the Bike+, providing 24 months of coverage. This is a full year less than the standard Peloton Protection Plans which offer coverage for 36 months. However, the pricing is less as well – the 36 month extension price for the original Bike is $199 and $249 for the Bike+.

Earlier this year Peloton made sweeping changes to their extended warranty program, including changing the name to “Peloton Protection Plan,” decreasing the price and offering longer coverage periods, and allowing them to be transferable for those who purchase their device second-hand.

If you purchased your Bike or Bike+ between May 2020 and June 2021, you may have received an email from Peloton containing additional information about this offer. Be sure to contact them by September 30 to activate that offer. Members who are interested in purchasing a Peloton Protection Plan should call 866-679-9129. Terms and conditions can be viewed here.
