New “Legendary Climbs” Ride Series with Christine D’Ercole on Peloton (Palomar Mountain first)

Peloton instructor Christine D’Ercole is launching a new ride series similar to one she held a few years ago. Called “Legendary Climbs,” the first mountain will mimic a climb of Palomar Mountain, a mountain range located in Southern California. Christine shared the news via her social media accounts, saying:

WHAT IF YOU CAN?
… climb the mountain
… take that risk
… make the change
… write the book
… speak the truth
It all starts with that question. What if I can?
And we answer that question one pedal stroke at a time, with a whole hearted,
YES.

Christine recently road this mountain in person, so is expected to guide members over the course of the series through that experience.

Classes have already begun populating on the upcoming schedule. Members can look forward to three 45 minute rides, taking place live on Mondays at 10:00am ET. There will also be a dedicated warm-up, cool down, and recovery ride. You can view the complete class list below:

The class description for the first of the climbs reads:

Join Christine in this three part series ascending California’s Onyx Summit. Clip in to experience the challenging terrain as you make your way to the top.

In her announcement post, Christine provided more context about how the rides are designed to be approached:

The aim will be to go through the series and then set a date to stack the rides together and crush the whole thing in one fell swoop (with warm up and cool down).
Use the 20min recovery ride the following day.

In other words, the rides can be taken individually – but the ultimate goal is to eventually stack them and tackle the full mountain at one time.

This series is similar to Christine’s Haleakala rides that took place a few years ago and took members through climbing the 10,000+ foot Haleakala Volcano in a 5 part, 5 hour climb ride series.

The original posts have since been deleted, but expect for them to be re-posted/re-announced soon.

The first class in the series will take place live on Monday, April 29 at 10:00am ET. Will you be opting in?
