Peloton Offering “First Timers Friday” In-Person Studio Classes at Peloton Studios New York (PSNY)

Peloton is extending a special invitation to members who have yet to visit Peloton Studios New York (PSNY). Select members received an email inviting them to a cycling class that is not listed on the studio booking site. The class will be followed by an informal social event.

The email stated:

What’s up, Peloton!
We’re calling on Members who’ve never had the chance to experience a class LIVE in-studio before!
Join us for a night of fun and good workouts followed by a small “First Timers Friday” Happy Hour mixer with light, non-alcoholic refreshments and a chance to interact with fellow members!

Members were provided a link to register, which navigated to the studio booking site. From there members could book a 30 minute ride with Tunde Oyeneyin at 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday, April 28 – a class that was not included with the release of other classes throughout that weekend.

Registering for this class required a $35 class credit just like any other class. The benefit here is that it wasn’t on the public studio website – so that meant that it didn’t fill up within seconds like other classes typically do. Only the members who received the email would have the opportunity to sign up for this class.

The class will be followed by a mixer at PSNY for participants of the class. It is currently unclear whether this “First Timers Friday” will become a regular occurrence, and whether it will branch out to Peloton Studios London (PSL) as well.

Peloton appears to be experimenting more with exclusive in-person class opportunities. Chase Sapphire cardholders recently received an opportunity to book a cycling class with Robin Arzón that is exclusive to Chase members.

If you’ve yet to visit Peloton Studios in-person, would you be interested in attending a “First Timers Friday” class and event?
