Some Peloton members may have noticed that they are unable to receive high fives in recent days. It turns out that this is related to an outage Peloton is experiencing, and they have since posted an official incident report.
Update – Peloton has now said they expect a fix for this bug to be rolled out the week of April 8th.
The bug report states:
We are currently investigating reports that members are not receiving high fives.
The incident report was posted on March 24 at 2:27pm ET, and there have been no updates since then. This issue is thought to be affecting all hardware devices – the Bike, Tread, and Row – as well as the digital app.
Though it is currently unclear how widespread this issue is, members have been posting inquiries and comments on social media in recent days, indicating that it may not only be affecting a small group of people.
