Peloton instructor Ben Alldis will run the 2024 London Marathon and is fundraising for the non-profit organization Breast Cancer Now.
He shared the news via Instagram:
It’s official 🎉 I’m running the 2024 @londonmarathon on behalf of @breastcancernow and @jon_hosking has put his name forward to be one of my coaches to get me ready. We had our first outdoor session this week and I’ll be taking the first LIVE running class with members from the newly renovated Peloton Studios London this evening live and direct from club hosky – 30min Pop – 6:30pm UK / 1:30pm ET👏🏽 See you on the leaderboard !
London Marathon – I’m hoping to raise lots of money for an incredible cause. My donation page link in my bio. Thank you in advance for showing support👆🏼
The post includes a video in which Ben teases that he reached out to Peloton to ask for a training coach, specifically requesting Susie Chan – but she wasn’t available, so he ended up with Jon Hosking.
Ben also took Jon’s 30 min. Pop Run from September 22 at 1:30pm ET – the first live running class in the remodeled Peloton Studios London (PSL) – live from home to kickstart his training.
Ben is raising money for Breast Cancer Now, the United Kingdom’s largest breast cancer charity dedicated to research and support. Ben shares why this cause is so important to him on his London Marathon fundraising page:
Just over a year ago, my fiancee Leanne Hainsby (fellow Peloton instructor) was diagnosed with grade 3 tripple positive breast cancer. We were shocked, scared and worried for the worst.
Breast Cancer Now was one of main charities that we have seeked help from during her diagnosis period and treatment. They do an incredible job at supporting those going through a cancer diagnosis and are doing incredible work around research to help fight cancer for our future generations. There are so many complex layers to cancer treatment and Breast Cancer Now make it their mission to provide information and help those in the toughest times.
The 2024 London Marathon will take place on Sunday, April 21, 2024. You can support Ben’s fundraising efforts for Breast Cancer Now via Ben’s fundraising page.
