Peloton has announced a new two-way integration with WHOOP, allowing workout activity to sync between Peloton and WHOOP in both directions.
The integration launches today, September 22, ahead of the October 1 rollout of most of Peloton’s other newly announced running features and new Treadmill hardware options.
Once members connect their Peloton and WHOOP accounts, completed Peloton workouts can sync into WHOOP and contribute to the personalized insights generated inside the WHOOP app.
Workout activity recorded through WHOOP can also sync back into Peloton, similar to Peloton’s other connected fitness integrations.
That makes WHOOP another source of third-party workout history inside Peloton, while also allowing Peloton workouts to become part of a member’s WHOOP activity record.
WHOOP will also become one of the data sources for Peloton’s new ReRuns feature, letting any runs taken with a WHOOP device outdoors be taken as a ReRun on a Peloton Tread and have the elevation match what a user did outside.

WHOOP has already supported Heart Rate Broadcast, allowing the wearable to act as a Bluetooth heart rate monitor for compatible fitness equipment, including Peloton. That functionality is not new as part of this announcement.
However, it means WHOOP owners can also use their device as the live heart rate source for Peloton’s new Heart Rate Zone Workouts, which use connected heart rate data to provide real-time Zone 2 guidance.
Today’s new WHOOP integration & sync is similar to the previous sync integrations Peloton offers with Garmin two way syncing & Apple Health – allowing workouts taken on either platform to sync back and forth.
At this time, Peloton has not said that WHOOP Recovery, Sleep, Strain, or other health metrics will become inputs for Peloton IQ.
The announcement also follows comments CEO Peter Stern made last month about Peloton’s broader wearable strategy.
Stern said during Peloton’s Q4 fiscal year 2026 earnings call that the company had decided not to build its own wearable. Instead, Peloton plans to work with existing wearable platforms and let members bring more of their fitness data together across ecosystems.
Stern described Peloton’s approach as “playing Switzerland” and teased that the company had “A couple more big ones on the way” when talking about integrations with third party partners.
WHOOP is now one of those integrations.
The new Peloton and WHOOP integration feature should begin rolling out today, September 22, to all members.
