Peloton plans to launch additional new equipment in a category it already sells in before the end of this calendar year, and will introduce its first consumer products in entirely new categories starting in the fall of 2027.
CEO Peter Stern shared this news in the company’s Q4 and full fiscal year 2026 earnings call this morning.
He opened his remarks on the product roadmap by pointing to what is coming in the next few months:
“Our product innovation engine is now firing on all cylinders. And during this calendar year, we will launch additional new equipment in an existing category, while delivering much more customized, personalized guidance to help our members achieve their individual goals.”
He then looked towards the future years, saying:
“This roadmap includes groundbreaking offerings in entirely new categories that broaden our total addressable market. The first of these new consumer product categories will launch in the fall of 2027, followed by more thereafter. We expect investments in these categories will result in an acceleration of our year-over-year revenue trajectory.”

Stern stated that product innovation “takes time, especially hardware like ours,” but that Peloton is “investing with discipline in areas where we have confidence in the returns.” He said he was proud of the company’s progress over the last 18 months in filling the product pipeline.
In response to a separate question about product introductions, Stern laid out the sequence in more concrete terms:
- By the end of calendar 2026: the Peloton Commercial Series bike and tread, plus what the company described as meaningful product innovations on the consumer side focused on areas where Peloton already offers experiences to members
- Fall 2027: the first products in new categories for the company
- After that: what Peloton called “a march of progress,” opening up new total addressable market opportunities and creating the potential for revenue acceleration from that point forward
Peloton did not say which existing category the new consumer equipment will land in. Stern had previously teased new hardware for this fall on the Q3 earnings call in May without naming it either.
One possibility is a lower-priced treadmill. A Bloomberg report in March said Peloton was making treadmills a larger priority and considering more affordable versions, plus looking at more strength products. At the time of that report, the Cross Training Tread sold for $3,295 and the Cross Training Tread+ for $6,695. Stern and Peloton executives have previously talked about the growth of strength on Peloton, so that seems to be an area primed for a new product as well.
Strength did come up directly on the call. Asked by a member whether Peloton would release a product to compete with Tonal, Stern said that after cardio, strength is the most important thing members can do to promote their health, and that the company sees a lot of opportunity in the strength category. He repeated that an earnings call is not the place to make a major product announcement, and pointed members interested in dumbbell strength training toward the Cross Training Plus devices, which offer form feedback and rep counting through Peloton IQ. He said he hoped that would help people build strength while waiting for Peloton to talk in the future about what he described as some really cool stuff in the works.
The fall 2027 date fits a timeline Peloton has been building toward publicly for six months. On the Q2 earnings call in February, Stern told investors to expect “meaningful announcements” about new products within 12 to 18 months, across a wider range of fitness and wellness categories and price points. The March Bloomberg report said any new products were at least a year to 18 months out. Both windows close in the second half of 2027.
New categories also fit the repositioning Peloton has been pursuing, having spent the past year describing itself as a connected wellness company rather than a connected fitness one. The company’s acquisition of connected Pilates company Skōp in June was framed the same way.
New CFO Sid Thacker tied the roadmap to the company’s financial outlook, saying Peloton has high potential products in the works that target a much expanded addressable market, “giving us real tangible growth engine for the future.”
We will continue to monitor and share updates as Peloton reveals more about their product roadmap.
