For the first time in years, Peloton is opening a new retail location in the United States. Customers will be able to connect with Peloton in-person at their new showroom in Nashville, Tennessee beginning November 1, 2024. The store’s webpage is now live.
The new showroom will be located in The Mall At Green Hills – where Peloton previously had a showroom.
Update – The new showroom is not in the same exact location as it was before in the mall – instead, it is in a kiosk in the mall. You can see more details on the new location here.
The Nashville showroom originally opened in November 2018 with a special visit from Peloton instructors Jennifer Jacobs and Chase Tucker, both of whom have since departed the company.
However, like many other locations, the Nashville showroom was closed as part of Peloton’s restructuring and cost-saving measures during the company’s global downsizing that began in 2022. That wave of closures saw dozens of Peloton’s retail spaces shutter, with the Nashville showroom at Green Hills being one of them.
Now, in a move that signals a potential shift in strategy, Peloton is bringing the Nashville showroom back to life, re-establishing its presence in the Mall at Green Hills. The decision to reopen this specific location is notable, as it’s the first time Peloton has revived one of its closed showrooms after years of scaling back on brick-and-mortar stores.
The re-opening of a Nashville showroom suggests Peloton is still continuing to search for balance between its in-person and digital retail experiences. It will be interesting to see how this move influences Peloton’s broader retail strategy, especially considering how many showrooms were shuttered in recent years.
