Peloton Plans to Have 10 Microstore Showrooms Open by the End of the Year for the Holiday Season

Peloton plans to have 10 fully open microstore showrooms by the end of 2025, just in time for the busy holiday season.

The update came in the company’s FY 2025 Q4 earnings letter under the “Meet members anywhere” pillar of Peloton’s overall company strategy.

One of the tactics for the strategy includes expanding both its physical and online retail presence. The letter explicitly states that “This year, we will expand from one microstore to 10.”

During the earnings call Q&A, CEO Peter Stern provided additional context, noting Peloton’s intention to grow its member community through hotel partnerships, retail expansion, and entry into new markets.

He highlighted the success of Peloton’s first microstore in Nashville, which opened in late 2024, and confirmed that the second microstore recently opened in Utah.

Stern then shared that the goal is to have the new showrooms opening (giving them 10 total) in time for the holiday season, stating “we plan to launch an additional eight stores in time for the busy holiday season”

Peloton first piloted the microstore concept in Nashville, Tennessee, with a showroom in The Mall at Green Hills. While small in size, the location is designed to maximize customer engagement, featuring floor models of Peloton hardware, space for consultations, and quick onboarding for prospective members. The mall-kiosk style space is designed to engage customers efficiently without the overhead of a full-sized store.

Stern previously shared that the microstore showrooms were nearly as profitable as regular showrooms – but with much lower overhead & costs.

This expansion marks a renewed push into retail after Peloton closed a number of larger showrooms in recent years as part of cost-cutting efforts.
