Peloton Instructor Susie Chan Wins Sports Performance Book of the Year

Peloton instructor Susie Chan recently added another accolade to her impressive resume: Sports Performance Book of the Year at the 2025 Charles Tyrwhitt Sports Book Awards.

The Sports Book Awards aim to spotlight and celebrate the finest sports books released in the past year.

Susie’s book, Trails and Tribulations: The Running Adventures of Susie Chan, beat out a competitive field to take home the honor. The Sports Book Awards announced the win via Instagram, writing:

Their website notes that Susie has run the grueling Marathon des Sables – a six-day, 250 km ultramarathon across the Sahara Desert – more times than any other U.K. woman, set a 12-hour treadmill world record, and was one of the first women to complete all six World Marathon Majors.

Susie shared her joy and gratitude on her own Instagram page, writing:

Can’t quite believe it 💚 When I started writing this book I did not really want to, who would want to read it? Is it any good? Nearly 1 year later, it won the @sportsbookawards Sports Performance Book of the Year. I’m delighted! And was not ready AT ALL for the thank you speech.
Thanks to all @bloomsburypublishing @bloomsburyoutdoors , everyone who runs with me, and my brilliant supportive and enabling colleagues. A HUGE Thank you to all who voted – I really appreciate you taking the time to do that.
