Peloton instructor Susie Chan will serve as a host at the National Running Show Birmingham on January 20-21, 2024, as well as give a free talk about Marathon De Sables the day before.
The National Running Show is an annual event for runners that features speakers, the latest running gear and tech, nutrition products, coaches, and more. The event will be held at the NEC in Birmingham in the United Kingdom.
Susie is listed on the event’s speakers page and will serve alongside Olympian runner Iwan Thomas as a host for the event. There are more than 70 speakers listed for the event, including numerous Olympians such as Colin Jackson, Eilish McColgan, David Weir, and Sir Mo Farah.
This is Susie’s third year hosting the event; she previously hosted in 2023 and 2022. Those interested in attending can obtain their tickets via the event website. A ticket for the weekend costs £18, with children and “carers” able to attend at no cost.
The day prior to the event Susie will also be participating in a free event geared towards individuals participating in Marathon De Sables, a six day ultramarathon that takes place in Morocco. The event is called “Why You Should Use Heat Acclimation to Help With Your MDS 2024 Preparation” and will occur on January 19. Tickets are complimentary and can be reserved via Eventbrite.
Susie’s portion of the event will cover her experiences and tips, as she has run the marathon more times than any other British female athlete.This is also a topic she will cover in her upcoming book, which is scheduled to be released in August. The table of contents indicates that Susie discusses Marathon De Sables in several chapters of the book.
