New Peloton Member “Stories of Strength” Video Series by Andy Speer

A new video series, “Stories of Strength,” from Peloton instructor Andy Speer has officially launched.

“Stories of Strength” will feature Andy sharing members’ stories that they have submitted about how strength training has positively impacted their life. Whether it’s improving physical or mental health, overcoming personal trauma, gaining confidence, developing a routine, or working hard to reach a specific goal.

Andy first announced his new video series on January 31 on Instagram, sharing “Your stories impact me so greatly, and I want to share them with everybody.”

The original intent was that this video series would share members’ Stories of Strength once a week, but Andy has since updated that he will share one story each on Tuesdays and Thursdays so he can fully dedicate each time to the individual’s unique story.

Andy posted a teaser on Instagram of the first three member Stories of Strength that would be shared: Marisa, Mike, and Christine.

Marisa’s Story of Strength was the first to launch on February 11. Here is Marisa’s story:

“Strength training set me up to get through the hardest year of my life. Just a month before I turned 43, I was diagnosed with stomach cancer, the same week that multiple precancerous lesions were found in both breasts. In October 2023 I had a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction and then only three months later a complete removal of my stomach. I would not have been physically or emotionally strong enough for those surgeries if I had not had such a committed routine on my bike and on the mat prior to going in.

My goal was to return to PSNY before the year anniversary of my first surgery and against all odds, I did. I have to be very careful with my routine, however I’m back to training 6 days a week and really credit this community for getting me here. It’s not just a bike and weights. It’s an army behind you and a community with their hands on your back. I am forever grateful for the privilege of movement.”
