Peloton recently teased that innovations in meditation and sleep content are on the way.
During the FY 2025 Q4 earnings call earlier this month, CEO Peter Stern revealed that the company is working on something “really cool” in the meditation and sleep space – and it will involve a blend of software and human coaching.
While the specific details have not yet been revealed, Stern’s enthusiasm was clear. Speaking during the Q&A portion of the call, he stated:
“While we’re reorienting Peloton with the announcement of today’s strategy to maximize human impact for everyone, we know young people need us more than ever. And that means we’re going to be focusing even more on personalized training programs that cut across the many disciplines that we offer.
It means even more investment in strength, including things like our Strength Plus app, because young people are more likely to pursue hybrid workout regimens both at home and at the gym. It means more investment in areas like meditation and sleep for mental well-being. We have something really cool on the way, can’t wait to talk more about it soon, using a mix of software and human coaching.”
Later in the call, he doubled down on the tease of enhancements to meditation, adding:
“Mental well-being — we continue to see strong levels of engagement in our meditation classes. And as I indicated a little while ago, we have something cool coming along those lines that I can’t wait to tell you more about that I think will make a big difference for people, and it’ll help with sleep as well.”
This is not the first time Peloton has hinted at expanding beyond traditional fitness into lifestyle and wellness categories. Last year Chief Content Officer Jennifer Cotter suggested that nutrition, sleep, and rest would become new lines of business for the company. Peloton has already started exploring nutrition content, introducing a “Peloton Nutritionist” and occasionally publishing recipe videos with instructors in the “Peloton Kitchen.”

Sleep meditations are already tremendously popular amongst members. The idea of integrating them more deeply with personalized coaching and software could represent a significant evolution in the platform’s holistic health offerings.
While Stern stopped short of offering a timeline, his repeated excitement suggests more details may emerge in the near future.
