Peloton has introduced a buyout discount for customers currently renting their equipment as part of a holiday sales & promotion, a notable first in the company’s history.
This new promotion – which coincides with the Black Friday holiday sale season – allows users who are leasing Peloton Bikes through the company’s rental program to transition from renting to full ownership at a discounted rate. A new support page is available with more information:
We’re thrilled to announce that, for the first time, we’re offering Peloton Rental Members the opportunity to buy out their rental Bike or Bike+ at a discount! From November 12th through January 8th, get up to $150 USD off when you buy out your Peloton Rental Bike and up to $400 USD off when you buy out your Peloton Rental Bike+.
In other words, customers who are currently renting a Bike can receive up to $150 off the buyout price, and customers who are currently renting a Bike+ can receive up to $400 off the buyout price. This is a limited time offer that ends on January 8, 2025.
The support page contains all of the details. To check eligibility, members can visit the rental buyout page. For those who recently bought out their rental before the promotion, Peloton Support can confirm eligibility. This offer applies only to rentals with pre-November 12 agreements and cannot be combined with other promotions, referral codes, or Corporate Wellness discounts. Buyout prices vary depending on rental duration; members should review their agreements for specific pricing details.
In addition to the buyout discount for rental subscribers, Peloton’s traditional Black Friday deals have officially launched. Although Peloton introduced these discounts with an early access period two weeks ago, they were previously only available to those with a referral code. Now, the same discounts are open to the public, removing the code requirement, and making it easier for everyone to take advantage of the seasonal sales.
