Peloton is honoring Rosh Hashanah – the Jewish New Year holiday that begins on the eve of October 2 – with a special class.
The 30 minute “Jewish New Year Ride” ride with instructor Robin Arzón became available in the on-demand library at midnight Eastern time on October 2, 2024.
Peloton promoted the new class via the @PelotonStudios Instagram Stories, alerting members that this class was taking place.
Members can now take the 30 minute Jewish New Year Ride with Robin on their Bike or the digital app.

The official class description reads:
“Join Robin Arzón for a meaningful 30-minute Jewish New Year Ride. This workout is designed to inspire reflection, renewal, and growth as the Jewish community sets intentions for the year ahead on Rosh Hashanah. Pedal into the new year with purpose!”
The class offers a moment to reflect on the past year, embrace renewal, and set intentions for growth, mirroring the themes of Rosh Hashanah.
However, there ended up being a fairly quick change to the playlist. As soon as the class become available, some members raised concerns with Peloton over the inclusion of an Annie Lennox / Eurythmics song in the class, based on some of Annie’s previous comments. These concerns were heard by Peloton executives, who responded that members should “Stay Tuned For A change”.
That change ended up being the removal of the Annie Lennox / Eurythmics song (“Sweet Dreams”) from the class. That song had been the second song on the playlist. It was instead replaced with “Sugar”, by Maroon 5, in the same spot in the playlist.

These changes are made possible by the fact that Peloton has begun recording the audio music, and instructor speaking, on different tracks. This then enables features like the new custom audio mix slider – where you can control whether you want more of the music, or more of the instructor. This same idea allows Peloton the flexibility to swap music out from a ride that already took place (with some creative editing or muting in certain moments possibly being needed as well.)
This marks the first time Peloton has officially labeled a class as “Jewish New Year,” and follows Peloton’s earlier focus on Jewish representation, including classes for Jewish American Heritage Month earlier this year.
Members can enjoy Robin’s new 30 minute Jewish New Year Ride on the Bike, app, or web browser.
