To celebrate the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, Peloton had a few of their instructors get in on the action with the “Peloton Instructor Games.”
Instructors Kirsten Ferguson, Alex Karwoski, and Matt Wilpers competed in three different challenges in walking, rowing, and cycling.
The first challenge was how far they could power walk on the Tread in one minute. Peloton posted a video to Instagram showing the competition and ending with a medal count for the first challenge. Kirsten clocked in at 0.10 miles, Alex clocked in at 0.13 miles, and Matt clocked in at 0.11 miles.

The next challenge was how many meters they could row in one minute. Peloton shared another video to Instagram showing the competition. Alex completed 341 meters, Matt completed 269 meters, and Kirsten completed 219 meters.

It is worth mentioning that Alex competed in the Olympic trials for rowing this past spring, and served as an alternate in the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics, and competed in the 2016 Rio De Janeiro Summer Olympics.
The final challenge was how high they could get their output on the Peloton Bike in 15 seconds. Matt reached 897 watts, Alex reached 1,261 watts, and Kirsten reached 716 watts.

This brought the final standings to Alex winning the gold medal, Matt winning the silver medal, and Kirsten winning the bronze medal. You can view the final challenge and medal ceremony via Instagram.

In case you missed it, we recently took a look back at the 2018 Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, during which Peloton was a partner of the Olympics and held four special classes live from South Korea taught by Robin Arzón.
We also shared that Peloton employee Nick Mead not only won a gold medal at the Games as a member of the 4 man rowing team; he was also selected to be one of the U.S. flag bearers alongside swimmer Katie Ledecky at the Closing Ceremony.
Instructor Becs Gentry is also currently in Paris as part of the NBC Olympics team as she covered the men’s and women’s Olympic marathons on August 10 and 11.
