Peloton and Hilton Refresh their Partnership with New Focus on Connected Room Experience (CREx)

Peloton and Hilton are refreshing their ongoing partnership with a new focus on Hilton’s Connected Room Experience (CREx). This will see a collection of Peloton classes be available on in-room TVs at Hilton hotels.

The companies shared the news via press release:

Hilton (NYSE: HLT) and Peloton (NASDAQ: PTON) are making it easier than ever for travelers to sustain fitness routines and goals while on the road. Through Hilton’s Connected Room Experience (CREx) guests can now access a complimentary collection of Peloton’s on-demand fitness content on their in-room TVs. Designed as an introduction to Peloton’s Instructor-led classes, this seamless offering allows travelers to stick to their wellness routines—or try new ones—while on the road.

Building on the success of Peloton Bikes already available in Hilton fitness centers and select rooms, the expanded partnership introduces a complimentary collection of select Peloton on-demand classes to in-room TVs.

Guests staying in Hilton’s Connected Rooms can now access instructor-led workouts across various modalities, including yoga, strength, Barre, HIIT Cardio, strength, Pilates, and meditation – all disciplines that can require no equipment. Guests do not need to be an existing Peloton member in order to take advantage of the content.

Included with the press release were two new promotional videos featuring instructors Cody Rigsby and Jess King. You can watch the videos via YouTube or below.

Both videos are approximately 1.5 minutes in length and take a humorous approach to the collaboration, showing Cody and Jess with a hotel guest exploring both in-room classes through the Connected Room Experience (CREx), as well as the hotel gym setting.

This initiative is part of Hilton’s broader wellness strategy, informed by a survey revealing that 90% of travelers aim to maintain their wellness routines while on the road. By offering Peloton classes in-room, Hilton provides an accessible, private way to stay active. New classes will be added every six months so that the content is fresh for recurring hotel guests.

Peloton’s partnership with Hilton first launched in 2022 and significantly expanded in 2023. As part of this, Hilton Honors members can find Peloton Bikes in more than 5,400 Hilton properties across the United States. The collaboration also extended to Peloton on Tour in 2023, when Peloton and Hilton partnered on the Berlin stop of the itinerary. In addition, last year it was announced that customers can buy Peloton classes with Hilton points.

Peloton also has a major partnership with Hyatt hotels in the US.

The biggest problem with the partnership is that 9 out of 10 times, the bikes are broken. Hilton staff are not allowed to fix the bikes and Peloton does not have a regular maintenance plan. Even the Tempo by Hilton with in-room Pelotons are mostly broken or they fix the bikes so that you can not adjust the seats. It’s very problematic.

Yes, I’ve noticed this too, was told the same thing, Hilton staff are not trained to repair the bikes, and Peloton does not have a formal maintenance plan for hotel bikes. Which is crazy!! The last 4 different hotels I’ve stayed at they were all broken. Hilton told me to reach out to Peloton customer service, but I’m not having any luck!
