Peloton Apparel Marathon Collection “Tested By” Instructors Becs Gentry and Matt Wilpers

Peloton has officially launched a “Marathon Collection,” (affiliate link) offering performance-driven apparel designed specifically with long-distance runners in mind. Peloton announced this news via many of their channels today, saying:

Tried, tested, and approved by @becsgentry + @mattwilpers… This limited edition collection of running gear can keep up with your marathon training sessions ⚡️

In a blog post accompanying the release, Peloton shared that the Peloton Marathon apparel was designed after extensive input from the Peloton running community, including instructors Becs Gentry and Matt Wilpers – both of whom are repeat marathoners.

In fact, Becs is currently training for the Great World Race, which includes seven marathons in seven days across seven continents. Peloton is strategically releasing this new collection ahead of the busy fall marathon season.

The Peloton Marathon Collection blends technical functionality with aesthetic design, catering to athletes who seek both comfort and durability over long miles. The collection features pieces that prioritize moisture-wicking fabrics, strategic ventilation, and ergonomic fit to optimize performance during long runs. Matt shared via the blog post:

“When running a marathon, you want your clothing to last just like your body. That means it needs to handle moisture well and maintain its comfortable fit and form throughout the run. So you don’t want the clothing feeling heavy, getting clumped up, and/or limiting range of motion causing a distraction, or worse yet, chafing.”

The color palette is primarily black and white with minimalist design elements, and includes the following products: sports bra, leggings, biker shorts, tanks, tees, shorts, and tights. Costs range between $58-98 per item.

Becs took to Instagram to express her excitement about the new collection, writing:

Running isn’t the most comfortable of pastimes. We challenge and push our perceived limits, we work hard to grow into a runner we envision ourselves to be.
Along with the mental and physical work, the sweat, the early mornings, late nights, the I can’t, the I don’t want to, the fatigue…I promise there can be joy!
So @mattwilpers and I put our running experience to work with @pelotonapparel to help the team create an epic functional running capsule collection. These pieces of apparel will be there to support you on all your runs and hopefully help bring a sprinkle of joy on those uncomfortable days.

Becs went on to share that the design was functional as well, with some reflective elements for safety, saying:

Throughout the collection, you’ll find a reflective checkerboard race flag detail that is a signifier for the collection as well as other reflective details for early morning or late night training runs.
