Peloton Announces European Expansion into Germany and German Language Classes

Peloton recently announced that they will be expanding their European market to Germany. Germans hoping to jump on the Peloton Tread bandwagon will have to wait, though. The initial expansion only includes plans for the Peloton Bike. While preorders are not currently available, deliveries are expected to begin in late 2019. According to SGB Media, the bike will cost €2,290 with a monthly subscription cost of €39.

Peloton plans to appeal to its new audience by offering classes in German. These will be the first non-English classes available on the platform. German subtitles will also be available on many of the classes in English. There is currently no plan to open a studio in Germany, as the German instructors will work out of the London studio. However, Peloton will open showrooms for demos, test rides, and sales across several German cities towards the end of the year.

Germany makes the 4th country to receive Peloton deliveries, after the US, Canada, and the UK.
