Peloton's Max Out Row classes

Peloton’s Max Out Row Classes | Behind the Class with Alex Karwoski

Peloton is putting the spotlight on their “Max Out Row” classes, with instructor Alex Karwoski taking to Instagram to explain the principles and logic behind this high-intensity workout format.

In a post to the @PelotonStudios Instagram account, the caption reads:

Ready to see how hard you can push yourself? Join Alex for the next Max Out Row dropping on demand tomorrow, Nov 27 🔥
Plus… everyone knows the only thing more fun than rowing is hearing someone talk about how much fun rowing is 🙂‍↔️

The post includes a special “behind the class” video of Alex explaining the benefits behind Max Out Row classes, which he reportedly pitched to the Peloton programming team.

This series focuses on helping members push their limits on the rower through structured intervals designed to maximize effort and build strength. The class is meant to be “extremely difficult” because the goal is to push to the max output, to a point that becomes unsustainable. Alex maintains that the series is intended to be repeated periodically over time to track progress.

The “Max Out Row” series first debuted earlier this year. The upcoming release marks the sixth class in this series, and though there is no dedicated collection, members can quickly pull up all available classes by searching “max out row.” Each class is 20 minutes in length.

Whether a seasoned rower or a beginner, Peloton’s Max Out Row classes offer a challenging way to elevate any rowing workout. There are already six classes available with Alex, and likely more on the way in the future.
