Peloton will celebrate Latin & Hispanic Heritage Month (LHHM) with special classes between September 15 – October 15, 2024. Peloton shared the news via Instagram, saying:
Latin and Hispanic Heritage Month starts tomorrow! This year we’re celebrating the music of Latin and Hispanic communities across the globe. Estan listos?! 🪩✨💪🏼
Peloton is approaching this year’s content a little bit differently, in that instead of umbrella LHHM classes, they have broken things up into four categories: Música Electrónica, Música Alternativa, Fiesta Latina, and Todo Ritmo. This follows what Peloton has done with some other recent celebration months earlier in 2024.
The descriptions are as follows:
- Música Electrónica: “Dive into the electrifying universe whether Latin and Hispanic artists infuse the high-energy EDM, House, Techno, Dubstep, and Trance beats filled with soul-stirring rhythms of their rich cultural heritage.”
- Música Alternativa: “Discover tracks rooted in local culture, crafted with authenticity and passion, where Latin and Hispanic artists break from the conventional to showcase their unique sounds. Explore genres like indie folk, alternative rock, new wave, and experimental music.”
- Fiesta Latina: “Experience the infectious energy of salsa and bachata to the lively rhythms of merengue, cumbia, and samba, often heard at family gatherings, dance clubs, and festivals.”
- Todo Ritmo: “Feel the fusion of rhythmic beats and Spanish lyrics, from reggaeton’s global hits to reggae on Español’s traditional vibes. Celebrate the bass-heavy dancehall, the infectious dembow rhythms and embrace the diverse sounds of Todo Ritmo.”
As of publishing time Peloton has not announced a specific class list, but numerous classes have already been added to the upcoming schedule with more almost certainly on the way throughout the rest of the month.
However, Peloton did reveal one of the artist series on the way over the next few weeks: Selena. Peloton shared via the @PelotonStudios Instagram Story that booking for in-person classes would open on September 15 at 12:00pm ET – a Sunday instead of the standard Thursday. We will share more details on the upcoming Selena artist series as they are officially announced.
