Peloton Instructor Kristin McGee Shares She is in a Band

If you are a Peloton member who enjoys live music, your interests could intersect at an upcoming show with The Bandersons!

Peloton instructor Kristin McGee recently revealed that she is in a band (the name of Kristin McGee’s band is “The Bandersons”), sharing the news via Instagram:

Meet The Bandersons! A few months ago when a father at my sons’ school said he was putting together a band; I immediately raised my hand to sing vocals.
…We made our debut last night at The Cutting Room! I honestly had so much fun. I definitely could use some more practice; and I hope we keep this going for fun. Maybe even write some of our own songs.
It’s never too late in life to pursue a new passion, or ignite an old one.

According to Kristin’s post, the band was initially formed for a school fundraiser. She shares that she grew up singing and truly enjoys it. Kristin’s post includes a video from band practice covering “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac.

Kristin is not the only instructor to share that they are pursuing a musical passion project in recent months; fellow instructor Jess King has recently started performing as a DJ.

I grew up singing (my dad and mom created a performance group in our town) and it brings me so much joy. I moved to NYC to follow my passion for music, theater and dance…It’s actually how I discovered yoga, in my acting classes at NYU.
So Steve, an incredibly talented guitar player and singer, got a group of parents together to perform for a fundraiser for our kid’s school (Anderson). I’m telling you these parents are all unbelievable.

Last slide is us practice The Chain (harmonies are so hard on that one) before we go on stage. Maybe I’ll share some of my solos if I get the courage to. I feel like I have some work to do.
