Jess Sims Talks Peloton Contract Extension, Dream Artist Series, Teases New Floor Bootcamp Classes & more in Reddit AMA

Peloton instructor Jess Sims recently participated in a Reddit “Ask Me Anything (AMA)” on the r/pelotoncycle subreddit. She provided a number of details and insights members may find interesting. The questions she answered were posed by the Reddit community.

First, Jess assured a concerned member that she has no plans to leave Peloton even though she juggles many other commitments in addition to her work as an instructor. She even hinted that she is currently working through a new contract with Peloton.

The member asked Jess if she could share any assurances she’d be staying with Peloton, especially in light of all the recent opportunities Jess has had. (We recently shared that Jess was taking an expanded role with ESPN).

Jess responded:

LOLLLL I love you back, and I’m not going anywhere any time soon! I have zero plans to leave Peloton LOL. I’d show you my new contract that we are working through right now if I could! And you know I’m a bad liar, so you’d totally read between these lines if I wasn’t being sincere.

Next, Jess confirmed that new Floor Bootcamp classes are on the way. A member posed the question:

This is my official request to please do another Floor Bootcamp program for the members of the Peloton family (like me!) who don’t have equipment but still want that strength-cardio balance in one class 🙏

Jess responded: “Your wish will granted soooooooon 🙂.” Based on some other context in the thread, it wasn’t clear if Jess was saying that an entire new program was on the way, or standalone floor bootcamp classes .

As a refresher, Peloton released their first Floor Bootcamp program with Jess and Selena Samuela in April 2022. Floor Bootcamp does not require any equipment and switches off between HIIT Cardio sections and weighted strength exercises on the mat.

Next, Jess teased a new two-for-one class – possibly a Tread Bootcamp – with Adrian Williams. Numerous members expressed that they loved the previous classes Jess and Adrian have taught together – a Black History Month Block Party Run and a Hip Hop Tour: East Coast Run – and asked about the potential for more classes. Jess responded to the questions by affirming that new classes are in the works, writing: “We definitely heard y’all loud and clear after both 2 for 1s, so we will continue to talk to our producers about future content!”

Finally, Jess provided some insight into her favorite classes and dream artist series. When asked by a member about these two topics, Jess responded:

Ohhhh great questions – thank you!! I definitely loved my Beyonce Saturday60, my Lizzo 2 for 1 with Robin, my original Lizzo run from 2019, my Women’s History walk + run with Kirsten and whew I feel like all my artist series LOL. Dream artist series for SURE are Rihanna and then Drake and then Jay-Z.

While Drake is a very common artist to hear on the Peloton platform, Jay-Z is typically only heard in “Crazy in Love” or “Drunk in Love” with Beyonce; and Rihanna is not currently available on the Peloton platform at all.

Peloton instructor Becs Gentry also recently participated in a Reddit “Ask Me Anything (AMA)” alongside Peloton Product Manager Renato Moratore. The thread provided insight into new and returning initiatives members can expect for the Tread in the future, including Power Zone style classes, free mode, and longer-form classes.
