Peloton’s “Discover Strength” Program by Joslyn Thompson Rule (Class List & Details)

Peloton has released a new 6-week strength training program called “Discover Strength”, taught by Joslyn Thompson Rule.

Joslyn shared that this program is designed for beginners. She says that members will build their strength moves layer by layer – all while being complemented by a full mobility program at the same time. She starts at the foundations making sure members know and understand how to do the strength moves.

Joslyn also stated that she actually designed this program so that it can turn into a full 6 month program for those who want to continue the work longer than the initial 6 weeks, saying “It’s a multilayered bundle of fabulousness that keeps giving, an eventual six month programme packaged up into six weeks.” She described it as having “programs built inside the program built inside the program” – including both a pushup program & mobility program within it.

Each week has 3 classes. The general structure is that Workout 1 is a full body strength class, Workout 2 is a full body mobility class, and Workout 3 is a full body strength class. (In the last 2 weeks, the dedicated full body mobility class is swapped for another full body strength class, but mobility is included in the last 2 weeks as an extended warmup). The first 3 weeks of the program are all 20 minute classes, while the last 3 weeks of the program are mostly 30 minute classes.

Joslyn has also created a broadcast channel on her Instagram account to help & provide more guidance to those taking the program.

Peloton first teased this program was on the way earlier this month.

Here is the official description for “Discover Strength” from Peloton: “Welcome to this 6 week full body beginner strength program! Understand the “why” behind every move to build a solid foundation. Each week builds on the last, leaving you confident and in tune with your body’s capabilities!”

It wouldn’t be a Peloton program without badges (you can always find a full list here). You can earn a Bronze badge for completing 9 classes, Silver badge for completing 14 classes, Gold badge for completing 16 classes out of the total 18 classes.

How to join the Peloton Discover Strength by Joslyn Thompson Rule program

At time of publishing programs can be joined from the Peloton Bikes, Tread, Peloton Digital app, or the Peloton website. Simply browse to the programs area, find the Discover Strength program, and join the program. You can join on the web here.
