If you have seen the new Starbucks ad and thought you might have seen a familiar face, your eyes are not deceiving you.
Peloton instructor Cody Rigsby makes an appearance in Starbucks’ latest commercial for their new protein coffees.
The 15 second spot, “Protein Never Tasted So Good,” has started to appear in media markets all across the United States after initially being released on October 6.
The ad shows a number of individuals in a Starbucks retail location sampling Starbucks’ newest product – their protein centric coffee and drinks. Cody appears three different times during the ad, drinking an iced beverage with the new Starbucks protein cold foam.
Cody Rigsby is also being featured in email blasts. The email notes that you can order “fitness enthusiast” Cody Rigsby’s favorite drink – a Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew – with Vanilla Protein Cold Foam.
Peloton instructors occasionally appear in non-Peloton advertisements. You may have also seen Jess Sims in a U.S. Bank commercial that began airing earlier this year, and Emma Lovewell was in a Superbowl commercial in 2021.
