Peloton instructor Cody Rigsby has been cast in an upcoming film called “Bach Sh*t Crazy” – a comedic slasher written and directed by Josie Andrews.
The news was first reported by Deadline.
They describe the film as:
Bach Sh*t Crazy follows a tight-knit group of college friends reuniting for yet another bachelorette weekend — this time at a lavish ski chalet owned by the bride’s ultra-wealthy fiancé. Maid of honor Maya has grown distant from best friend Evie, whose rekindled bond with estranged college mean girl Tess threatens to derail the trip. A competitive scavenger hunt heightens tensions before taking a violent turn, stranding the women on a snowy mountain with a killer on the loose.
Cody joins a cast that includes Gillian Bolt (Landman), Sydney Elizebeth Agudong (Lilo & Stitch), Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!), Sydney Cole Alexander (Severance), Ashleigh Murray (The Other Black Girl), Lindsey Normington (Anora), and Evan Rubin (A House of Dynamite). Specific character details for Cody have not yet been revealed.
The film is the feature debut for Andrews, whose previous short films have screened at Oscar and BAFTA-qualifying festivals. The project was developed by Andrews alongside collaborators Catie Bolt and Gillian Bolt, and is supported through fiscal sponsorship by the Alliance of Women Directors.
This is the latest in a growing list of acting credits for Cody. He has been expanding his career outside of Peloton in recent years with roles in the Max series “The Girls on the Bus” and the Disney+ animated series “Monsters at Work.” He also previously shared that he auditioned for the role of Ken in the Barbie movie. Before those acting roles, Cody made it to the finals of “Dancing with the Stars” in 2021.
Cody isn’t the only Peloton instructor pursuing acting. Fellow instructor Tunde Oyeneyin has also been building her acting resume, most recently appearing on the latest season of Tyler Perry’s “Sistas” on BET.
No release date has been announced yet for Bach Sh*t Crazy.
